Not everything Eyjafjallajokull wrought was negative; every ash cloud has a silver lining. Due to the cancelled flights, the hardest working DP in show business Laurence Blyth was unable to make it back to England from a shoot in Miami. Instead he had to take a circuitous route through Madrid and up to Catalonia where he and I spent an unscheduled but welcome three days grading our (Complexity's) short film The Deadfall using the marvels of modern technology and enormous quantities of tea.
